The Fieldhouse Pirates are proud to announce that OF Owen Caissie (Burlington, ON) has announced his commitment to attend the University of Kentucky (NCAA D1) in Lexington, Kentucky for the Fall of 2021. Caissie has been a member of the program for five years, and will start in the outfield for the 17U Pirates this coming year.

Competing in the powerhouse SEC conference, Kentucky is a national D1 powerhouse year over year. Past Canadians who have attended Kentucky include current Fieldhouse pitching instructor Zach Pop, New York Yankees LHP James Paxton, and Miami Marlins minor leaguer Tristan Pompey.

Kentucky finished the 2018 season ranked No. 31 in the country, with a 34-22 overall record. Caissie announced his commitment shortly after a standout performance at the Prep Baseball Report Future Games in Indiana this past summer.

On behalf of the Fieldhouse Pirates, we’d like to extend our congratulations to Owen and his family.
